Sáo Tale (Tale – Cơ Tu, Tà Ôi; Alia – Pa Cô)

Sáo Tale là một nhạc cụ thuộc họ hơi độc đáo, mang đậm dấu ấn sáng tạo của đồng bào Cơ Tu, Tà Ôi và Pa Cô. Với cấu tạo giản dị nhưng khác biệt, loại sáo này góp phần làm phong phú thêm kho tàng âm nhạc dân gian miền núi.

Điểm đặc trưng của sáo Tale nằm ở đầu thổi được gắn một hạt quả rừng khoét rỗng, đóng vai trò như buồng hơi. Thân sáo thường có 3 lỗ bấm, giúp người chơi tạo ra những cao độ cơ bản. Chính cấu tạo này đã tạo nên âm thanh dìu dặt, sâu lắng và giàu cảm xúc, rất phù hợp với không gian núi rừng yên tĩnh.

Trong thực hành âm nhạc, sáo Tale thường được dùng để độc tấu, thể hiện những giai điệu mang tính tự sự. Người thổi sáo gửi gắm vào đó tâm tư, nỗi niềm thầm kín, từ niềm vui, nỗi nhớ đến những suy tư về cuộc sống. Âm thanh của sáo như hòa quyện với thiên nhiên, tạo nên một không gian nghệ thuật đầy chất thơ.

Có thể nói, sáo Tale không chỉ là nhạc cụ mà còn là phương tiện biểu đạt nội tâm sâu sắc, phản ánh đời sống tinh thần tinh tế của con người miền sơn cước. Việc gìn giữ và phát huy loại sáo này chính là góp phần bảo tồn những giá trị văn hóa truyền thống độc đáo của đồng bào Cơ Tu, Tà Ôi và Pa Cô.

The Tale flute is a distinctive wind instrument that reflects the creativity of the Cơ Tu, Tà Ôi, and Pa Cô people. With its simple yet unique construction, it enriches the treasury of highland folk music.

A defining feature of the Tale flute is its mouthpiece, which is fitted with a hollowed-out wild forest fruit that functions as an air chamber. The body of the flute typically has three finger holes, allowing the player to produce basic pitches. This structure creates a gentle, deep, and expressive sound, well suited to the quiet atmosphere of the mountains and forests.

In musical practice, the Tale flute is often played solo, expressing narrative-like melodies. The player conveys personal thoughts and emotions through the instrument—from joy and longing to reflections on life. Its sound blends harmoniously with nature, creating a poetic artistic space.

It can be said that the Tale flute is not only a musical instrument but also a medium for deep emotional expression, reflecting the refined spiritual life of highland people.
